Thoughtplays …

It’s funny how thoughts play on your mind and your perceptions change! What was difficult to come by earlier seems so easy these days. It has happened a lot frequently these days when the paths of people with whom I hardly interacted with are crossing mine and over the course of talks, a strong friendship is taking shape. They are no longer just acquaintances from earlier phases of my life, they are becoming my Friends now . . .

Reflecting, I now think that its okay even if we didn’t become such good friends earlier, maybe its good in the sense that this is just the right time to befriend them than earlier when the mutual perceptions were different and there was absolutely no chance of even exchanging greetings – leave alone “friendship”.

And now when I sit down to talk with my new found friends, there is so much to talk about . . . We are no longer just class-mates or office-mates, or just sharing the same school /college/company name, we are people wanting to know more about each other, wanting to share the experiences gathered after leaving the only common factor between us. We want to know about each other’s lives, hobbies, lifestyles, routines, family status ( yeah, that’s a topic to talk about these days ) , aspirations, dreams, plans, soooooo many things !!!!!

And it is during these talks that you get to know about the other person’s perspective, their likes, dislikes, etc . . . About each other’s talents which were hidden because you were never on talking terms to know about them  Such sharing helps in not only getting to know the person in a better way, but also satiating your social needs. You feel good about getting to know a person better, to befriend him/her … after all, ain’t everything about feeling good these days …

Hmm, reading through this I myself feel what is this rambling really about … And to tell you frankly, I Have No Idea … as a matter of fact, I am listening to the song “Baatein Kuch Ankahi Si” while typing this post …

Here’s to the new-found friendship, hope it continues to grow strong …
